From their small manufactory in idyllic Grünhainichen, right in the heart of the Erzgebirge, the Hobler family creates figures driven by one desire — to place a smile in people's hearts.
Every genuine Hobler figure carries a silver heart in its left foot. It is their trademark and a symbol of the love that goes into every figure from the first sketch to the final touch.
Over 100 Steps from Wood to Art
Before a Hobler figure receives its heart and sets off on its journey around the world, it goes through a long and loving creation process. Each individual part is carefully shaped from select maple and beech wood with great experience and a fine sense of craftsmanship.
The finished pieces are lathe-turned, milled, handed many times over, assembled, and lacquered. Among them alone are six different surface treatments before the figure shines in its fresh design. And that takes its loving time — time they devote to each and every figure so that each becomes something truly special.

Fritz & Otto — The Snowmen
The duo that started it all. Fritz with his heart, Otto with his mulled wine — whether they're at the campfire, on the sledge, or chopping wood, these two capture the playful spirit of an Erzgebirge winter.
Hans & Lotte — The Angels
A regional innovation: Hobler pioneered pairing male and female angel characters, because "together, life is twice as beautiful." From tooth fairies to birthday angels, over 65 figures in the series.
Max & Emma — The Rabbits
Kissing at the garden fence, conducting orchestras, or riding skateboards — Max and Emma bring year-round charm with over 57 figures spanning every season and occasion.

Founded in 2008 in Grünhainichen — the “Village of Angels” — by designers Dirk and Romy Hobler.
The Hobler Family
Romy, Dirk, and Karl-Gustav Hobler. Romy works as a ceramic artist and is bursting with creative ideas. Dirk studied at the renowned Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design and worked for many years as a designer. Together they share a love of creativity — and from this passion, all their figure series are born.
Their son Karl-Gustav, with his keen eye and fresh ideas, is already leaving his very own mark on the family business.
